Loxo Reviews: What Recruiters Say in 2026
We analyzed Loxo reviews from G2, GetApp, Software Advice, Capterra and Reddit to show what recruiters like, dislike and should test.
Loxo is a well-rated recruiting platform, but its reviews tell two different stories. On verified marketplaces, users often praise the interface, candidate pipelines and all-in-one workflow. On Reddit, recruiters are more likely to question sourcing quality, campaign reliability, pricing and business development features.
Both views can be true. A recruiter using Loxo mainly as an ATS may have a very different experience from an agency buying it for sourcing and outbound campaigns. We analyzed verified reviews, community discussions and Loxo’s current product pages to separate broad satisfaction from workflow-specific problems.
Loxo reviews at a glance: the short answer
Loxo receives strong scores on the largest review platforms. At the time of our research, Software Advice reported 4.5 out of 5 from 133 reviews. GetApp showed the same overall score and review count. G2 displayed about 4.6 out of 5, with its review total changing between 165 and 168 as new reviews appeared.
Those scores are not hiding a majority of unhappy users. GetApp’s distribution included 104 five-star reviews, 19 reviews between three and four stars, and 10 reviews between one and two stars. The negative experiences matter, but they represent a smaller group on verified marketplaces.
The most accurate summary is simple: Loxo is a credible ATS and recruiting CRM. Whether it feels like good value depends on which Professional features your team expects to use every day.
How we analyzed Loxo reviews without cherry-picking
We used four types of evidence. Current product capabilities and plan limits came from Loxo’s pricing page, product pages and Help Center. Verified sentiment came from G2, GetApp, Software Advice and Capterra. Reddit supplied detailed workflow stories. Search results for Loxo reviews and alternatives showed what other comparison pages already covered.
The sources do not deserve equal weight. Loxo’s documentation is the strongest source for what the product offers today. Verified reviews are more useful for recurring experience. Reddit is useful for discovering specific problems, but not for measuring overall satisfaction.
We also excluded comments that openly promoted another software vendor. Recruitment software threads attract founders, employees and affiliates. Their comments can point toward a product to investigate, but they do not count as independent evidence.
Review dates matter too. Loxo now markets a Sales CRM with deal pipelines, invoice management and reporting. A complaint from two years ago saying the product has no sales CRM cannot be repeated as a current fact. It can only tell you which workflow deserves a fresh test.
Finally, we avoided averaging ratings across platforms. G2, Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice do not all use separate pools of reviewers. A combined score could count the same underlying review more than once.
We also reviewed detailed competitor articles from Atlas and Juicebox. They are useful when they publish a test method or reveal a buying trade-off. They are not independent reviews, so we checked their claims against current Loxo documentation and did not repeat outdated pricing or feature limits.
What Loxo users like most about the ATS
Ease of use is the clearest positive theme. Recruiters often praise the clean layout, drag-and-drop pipeline and simple movement of candidates between stages. This matters because an ATS only works when consultants update it. A feature-rich product that nobody uses is still a poor system of record.
The all-in-one design is the second major strength. Loxo combines ATS records, recruiting CRM, sourcing, outreach, calendars and communication history. Positive reviewers say this lets them remove separate email, contact-finding or scheduling tools. That saving can justify a higher seat price when the replacement is real.
Its Chrome extension also receives regular praise. Recruiters can add profiles from LinkedIn and other websites to their database, attach them to a job and refresh data. The extension is especially helpful for a small firm that does not need a complex bulk-import workflow.
Client collaboration is another bright spot. Even some critical Reddit users describe the Hiring Manager portal as useful. Loxo also offers candidate submissions, executive presentations and client reports. Agencies that win business through polished search updates should include these workflows in their trial.
Loxo’s current submission flow lets recruiters choose which profile sections a client can see. That includes resumes, compensation, assessments, social profiles and agency information. This is more flexible than the limited portal described in some older competitor reviews.

Support feedback is positive overall, particularly during onboarding. Some reviewers mention delayed answers outside US hours or frustration with an AI-first support path. Yet it would be misleading to describe support as broadly poor. The evidence is mixed, with more positive than negative feedback on verified platforms.
Why Loxo reviews on Reddit sound more critical
Reddit discussions have a different selection bias. Happy users do not often open a thread to announce that their ATS worked normally today. People post because an email failed, a contract feels expensive or they are already considering a switch.
That bias does not make Reddit useless. It makes Reddit better for finding failure cases. One discussion describes emails that appeared to send but did not reach candidates or clients. Another user found the Kanban view overwhelming with a large outbound stage. A later reply explained that additional columns could solve much of the problem after help from an account manager.
The detail is valuable because it turns a vague complaint into a test. Can you tell the difference between an untouched candidate and someone who did not respond? Can you create that distinction yourself? Does the change preserve historical reporting?
Community threads also contain obvious commercial noise. Vendor employees recommend their own tools. New accounts praise products with little detail. Some comments promoting alternatives may be sincere, but they should not carry the same weight as a verified review with a role, company size and usage period.
The right way to use Reddit is to build your demo script. Take each repeated complaint and ask the vendor to reproduce the workflow live. Do not use a handful of posts as a substitute for the broader review distribution.
Loxo Source reviews: improved search or uneven data?
Sourcing creates the sharpest split in Loxo feedback. Some users say Loxo Source has improved and now produces searches similar to LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Others report stale titles, weak niche coverage or lower relevance than specialist sourcing products.
Both outcomes are plausible. Data coverage changes by country, profession and seniority. A platform can perform well for US accounting recruiters and struggle with a niche executive search in Germany. A global profile count cannot predict your result.
Loxo’s current pricing page describes Source as an 850M+ profile talent graph. Its sourcing page says the dataset is built from the public web and third-party providers, with ongoing verification and profile updates. That is meaningful coverage, but coverage is only one part of sourcing quality.
Atlas provides one concrete example of that gap. In a vendor-run test published in 2025, it reported 958 Loxo results versus 2,700 LinkedIn results for a VP Marketing search in London. Atlas competes with Loxo, and one search cannot establish a general performance benchmark. It does show why buyers should compare coverage on their own roles instead of accepting a global profile count.
The same review raised two useful test questions. Does the search recognize title aliases such as developer, programmer and software engineer? Does it expose recent signals that help you judge whether a profile is current? Juicebox reaches a similar conclusion from a different angle: Loxo favors workflow consolidation, while a specialist sourcing product may focus more deeply on hard-to-find profiles.

Run the same five searches in every tool you test. Use real roles you filled during the last year, including one difficult search. For each search, record:
- Relevant candidates in the first 25 results
- Correct current employer and title
- Duplicate profiles
- Verified email and phone reveal rate
- Coverage across common title aliases
- Recent activity or job-change signals
- Time needed to create a usable longlist
Do not let a vendor choose the demonstration role. A polished search for a common software engineer tells you little about the legal partner, oncology recruiter or regional sales leader your agency needs next month.
Loxo outreach reviews: useful automation with sharp complaints
Loxo’s current Outreach page describes email, SMS, calls, meetings, automated campaigns, A/B testing and AI-assisted drafting. Positive reviewers say campaigns save time and make follow-up more consistent. For those users, the integrated history is more valuable than a separate outreach product with deeper controls.
Critical reviewers focus on campaign setup, limited personalization, email sync and delivery failures. These are high-impact complaints. One missed marketing email is annoying. One missed message containing a candidate’s interview availability can cost a placement.
Some of the strongest criticism comes from Atlas’s 2025 test, which found a clean but limited cadence builder. Current Loxo documentation now shows individual message personalization, A/B testing, AI-assisted campaign creation and retry controls. It also documents email, SMS, call and task stages. This makes the older review useful as a historical test, not as a complete description of the current product.

Still, a review cannot diagnose every delivery problem. Delivery depends on the connected mailbox, domain reputation, recipient server, sending volume and campaign settings. Loxo itself explains that deliverability varies by customer setup.
Your trial should therefore test failure visibility, not just message creation. Ask the vendor to show:
- Where bounced and failed messages appear
- Whether a failed step blocks later steps
- How retries work
- Which sending limits protect each mailbox
- Whether replies stop a campaign automatically
- How personalization behaves when data is missing
- What the audit trail shows after a problem
This checklist is more useful than asking whether the product “has sequences.” Most recruiting platforms do. The difference appears when a sequence meets messy data and a real mailbox.
Loxo CRM reviews: strong candidate tracking, divided sales workflows
Users generally agree that Loxo handles candidate records and job pipelines well. The disagreement begins when an agency tries to use the same platform for client relationships and business development.
Older reviews describe contacts and candidates as too similar, or call the sales workflow secondary to the ATS. More recent product documentation shows that Loxo has invested in this area. Its Sales CRM now includes prospecting, deal pipelines, forecasting, reporting and invoice management. Jobs can be linked to deals, and invoice triggers can mark payments as due.
That makes broad claims such as “Loxo has no CRM” inaccurate. The real question is whether its current model matches your agency. A retained-search firm needs different fields and revenue timing from a contingent agency. A contract staffing business may need timesheets, pay and bill functions that neither a standard ATS nor a sales pipeline can replace.
Use one real client journey during the demo. Create a prospect company, add three contacts, open a deal, convert it into a search, record a retainer or fee, submit a candidate and forecast the revenue. Then check whether the activity remains visible from both the company and the job.
Reporting deserves the same practical test. Some users call Loxo reporting limited. Recent reviewers praise its reports, and Loxo now promotes job, team and business reporting. Ask each vendor to build your weekly owner report during the call instead of accepting screenshots from a prepared account.
What Loxo costs when you need Source, Outreach and AI
Loxo has four plans. Free gives one user an ATS, recruiting CRM, unlimited jobs and importing. Basic costs $169 per user per month, billed annually. It adds multiple users, the Sales CRM, resume parsing, job board posting and the Chrome extension.
Professional is where the headline platform comes together. According to Loxo’s current pricing page, it adds Loxo Source, all AI agents, Outreach, account-based prospecting, AI Notetaker, AI Chat, the Hiring Manager portal and client reports. Professional does not have a public price.
This distinction explains part of the review split. A solo recruiter can use the Free ATS and get good value. A sourcing-led agency must compare a custom Professional quote, credit limits and contract terms. Those are different buying decisions.
Before signing, request these figures in writing:
- Price per seat for Professional
- Minimum seat count
- Included contact and AI credits
- Cost of additional credits
- Implementation or migration charges
- Paid integration or API access
- Contract length
- Renewal increase
- Data export terms
Our recruiting software pricing comparison provides a public baseline across Loxo, Recruiterflow and Recruit CRM. Use the final quote rather than the Free or Basic headline when you calculate your annual cost.
Who is most likely to be happy with Loxo?
Loxo looks strongest for a small or mid-size recruitment firm that wants one mature platform and values daily ease of use. It also makes sense for a solo recruiter who can work within the Free plan, or an agency that can replace several paid tools with Professional.
The product may be a good fit when:
- Your team wants a clean ATS with Kanban pipelines
- Recruiters resist complex software
- A Chrome extension covers most profile importing
- Native invoicing and client presentations matter
- You want sourcing, outreach and ATS records under one vendor
- You are comfortable with annual billing and a custom Professional quote
Test more carefully when your agency depends on specialist sourcing quality, complex outbound campaigns or detailed sales reporting. The same caution applies if recruiters must work from mobile devices throughout the day.
Large contract staffing firms should look beyond a simple feature checklist. Payroll, timesheets, VMS connections and pay-and-bill operations can matter more than sourcing. A strong ATS can still be the wrong operating system for that model.

Where Leonar differs from Loxo
The clearest difference is not database size. The public profile counts are now close. The difference is how a sourcing-heavy team works with LinkedIn Recruiter and how many outreach channels it can place in one sequence.
Deep LinkedIn Recruiter integration can import project history, candidates and Recruiter-side notes into the ATS. It can also rank live Recruiter and Sales Navigator results, enrich profiles and attach candidates to the right project without a CSV handoff. The Recruiter seat remains part of your stack.
The second difference is multichannel recruitment outreach. Sequence steps can include LinkedIn invites, messages, InMail, voice notes, email, WhatsApp, phone actions and enrichment. Custom AI variables are generated for each recipient at send time, with a fallback value if generation fails.
Pricing is the third difference. Monthly, annual-commitment and prepaid plans are public, so an agency can model the cost without requesting a quote. That makes the comparison most relevant for firms centered on LinkedIn and outbound work, not for every Loxo customer.
Teams that prioritize Loxo’s free ATS, native invoicing or established client-presentation workflow may still prefer it. See Loxo and Leonar side by side before deciding.
A nine-point Loxo trial checklist for your agency
A good software trial should reproduce a working week. It should not follow the vendor’s easiest demo path.
Use this scorecard and rate each area from one to five:
- Candidate import: Add 50 people from your main sourcing channel to a live project.
- Search relevance: Run five past roles, include title aliases and inspect the first 25 results.
- Data freshness: Verify current jobs and recent activity signals for 20 people you already know.
- Outreach recovery: Create a campaign with a missing email, a bounce and a reply.
- Database rediscovery: Find five past candidates using skills, notes and alternative job titles.
- Sales workflow: Move one company from prospect to deal, job, placement and invoice.
- Client collaboration: Submit three candidates, choose visible fields and check your agency branding.
- Search report: Build the client update or executive presentation you would send during a live mandate.
- Owner reporting: Recreate the report you review every Monday without vendor assistance.
Score the product on outcomes, not the number of menu items. Add a note beside every result that required support. A feature can exist and still be too hard for your team to use consistently.
Run the same test with each finalist. If possible, involve one recruiter who likes systems and one who avoids them. Their combined response will predict adoption better than the buyer’s demo experience.
Which Loxo review should guide your decision?
No single review should. The verified scores show that Loxo satisfies many recruiting teams. Reddit shows where that satisfaction can break down under sourcing, outreach, pricing or specialized workflow pressure.
Start with your reason for buying. If you need a clean ATS, an integrated client portal and a mature all-in-one platform, Loxo deserves a serious trial. If your priority is deep LinkedIn Recruiter workflow, broader sequence channels and a public monthly price, compare the two products using the same roles and tasks.
The best review is the one your team creates with its own data. Use the checklist above, record the gaps and calculate the Professional plan rather than the entry price. If predictable pricing is part of that decision, you can also check the published monthly and annual plans before requesting other quotes.
Frequently asked questions about Loxo reviews
Is Loxo a good ATS for recruiting agencies?
Yes, for many agencies. Loxo has a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 133 verified reviews on Software Advice and GetApp. Users often praise its clean interface, drag-and-drop pipelines, candidate records, Chrome extension and all-in-one workflow.
The fit becomes less certain when a team needs specialist sourcing, highly flexible outreach, complex business development reporting or contract staffing operations. Treat Loxo as a credible ATS and CRM, then test the parts of the Professional plan that matter to your agency.
What do users dislike most about Loxo?
The most common concerns involve price, sourcing quality, search refinement, campaign management and mobile usability. Some reviewers also report that support can be harder to reach outside US hours.
These complaints are not universal. Many other users praise the same sourcing, outreach and support features. The useful lesson is to test your own roles, data and sending setup rather than treating one positive or negative review as a final verdict.
Is Loxo good for candidate sourcing?
User feedback is mixed. Some recruiters say Loxo Source has improved and can produce results similar to their Sales Navigator searches. Others report outdated roles, weak results in niche markets or a continued need for LinkedIn Recruiter and specialist sourcing products.
Loxo currently advertises an 850M+ profile talent graph on its pricing page. A database that large still needs a role-specific test, because coverage does not prove relevance, freshness or contact accuracy for your market.
How much does Loxo cost in 2026?
Loxo offers a Free plan for one user. Basic is listed at $169 per user per month with annual billing. The Professional plan is available through a custom quote.
Professional contains Loxo Source, Outreach, AI agents, the Hiring Manager portal and client reports. This means the public Basic price does not cover several headline features that sourcing-led agencies are likely to evaluate. Ask for the complete Professional quote, credit allowance and renewal terms before comparing costs.
Why are Loxo reviews more negative on Reddit?
Reddit attracts users who are troubleshooting, leaving a product or comparing alternatives, so its sample naturally contains more frustration. Its discussions also surface detailed workflow problems that a star rating cannot explain.
At the same time, many Reddit threads contain comments from software vendors or new accounts promoting alternatives. Use Reddit to find questions for your trial, not to calculate an overall satisfaction score. Verified review platforms provide a broader baseline.
What type of team should compare Loxo with Leonar?
The comparison is most relevant for recruiting agencies that rely on LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator and run outbound campaigns across several channels. The key differences to test are project-history import, AI ranking on live LinkedIn results, LinkedIn and WhatsApp sequence steps, AI personalization controls and contract flexibility.
Teams that prioritize Loxo’s free ATS, native invoicing or executive presentation workflow may still prefer Loxo after testing both products.
